Laem Son Kitesurfing

Welcome to our kite surf center in Laem Son National Park

In our quest to find the best kitesurfing spots we have again discovered a very special spot. Due to it’s geographical features Laem Son National Park has been compared to the world famous kitesurfing and windsurfing spot "the gorge" in the U.S.A.

Leading down to  Laem Son National Park’s inland sea there is a long valley, (50 kilometres in length) between tall mountains, down which the wind shoots, this way a light 8 knot wind becomes a solid 18 knots. In addition to the great wind this is one of the most beautiful spots to kitesurf at in Thailand. With our boat we can show you some fantastic kitesurfing spots around this area.

Our Laem Son National Park teaching spot

OTHER ACTIVITIES
Laem Son National Park is an area of stunning beauty, it is the largest protected nature area in Thailand and is full of wildlife and amazing scenery, there are few unspoiled areas like this left in Thailand.

At Laem Son National Park we provide the following activities:

Snorkeling
Off the coast of Laem Son National Park there are deserted national park islands with picture perfect white powdery beaches surrounded by crystal clear water and coral reefs.

Big Game Fishing
Besides snorkeling, these same islands offer some of the best fishing in Thailand. The huge inland sea lakes which are found along the mainland coast, act as a breeding ground for small fish and some very big fish that feed on these smaller fish are found around the offshore islands.

Our fishing method is trolling, that is we pull a lure along behind a boat (a motorized boat or a canoe: the choice is yours), trolling is a very exciting way of fishing and enjoying the scenery around you. Catching fish that weigh over 6 kilos is common.

Canoe Fishing
You have the choice of troling from a canoe or from our motorized boat. Canoe fishing is a very exciting way of fishing, the fishing can be pulling you around quite a bit.

Trips Around The Inland Sea
It looks like a lake but in fact it’s the sea coming inland. Surrounded by mountains this beautiful stretch of water has mangrove forests full of tropical birds and other wildlife. Numerous small islands with lush vegetation and white beaches dot the clear water in the lake, you will often see monkeys looking for crabs to eat on their beaches. We have also come across groups of dolphins on some of our trips.

Country Side Walk
Check out how the villagers live and enjoy some beautiful nature, you will most likely see monitor lizards, monkeys, lots of water buffaloes and a variey of tropical birds.

Stand Up Paddle Surfing
Right by the beach side bungalows there are often small waves breaking which are perfect for stand up paddle surfing, or you can just paddle along the coast and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Canoeing
A great and quiet way to see the nature in the area.

Mountain Boarding
There are huge areas of sand where you can have a small kite pull you along whilst you are standing on a mountain board (a very big skateboard with very big wheels on it).

Bird Watching
There is an incredible variety of birds in the area, for example every morning at around 7 O’Clock a group of the in Asia rarely seen hornbill birds with their big beaks descend upon a tree right next to our bungalows.

Ecotourism and Muslim Homestay. (Organised by the Muang Kluang Eco Tourism Club)
