Thailand kitesurfing / kiteboarding schools

  

Welcome to "KiteThailand" one of the first kitesurfing/kiteboarding schools in Thailand and the only one which is licensed by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT license number 31/0739) with it's special insurance. Our 3 schools are located in some of the most beautiful and windy places in Thailand, Phuket, Chumphon and Hua Hin. We now also offer a very special trip to Laem Son National Park, the windiest place in Thailand that we have just recently discovered.

Our IKO certified teachers use the latest IKO methods BUT with one important difference, when teaching groups, instead of having 4 students per one teacher,

WE TEACH A MAXIMUM OF 2 STUDENTS PER 1 TEACHER.

* Private lessons are of course also available.

To make learning much faster, easier and safer we teach in shallow water at our kitesurfing/kiteboarding school locations in Phuket, Chumphon and Hua Hin, this way you don't lose time and energy swimming around in deep water whilst learning to kitesurf. We are the only kitesurfing/kiteboarding school in Thailand that teaches in shallow water at all of our locations and for group lessons has a ratio of 2 students per 1 teacher.

From our 9 years of kitesurfing/kiteboarding teaching experience we know that most students are very tired after 1 and a half to 2 hours of learning to kitesurf in deep water.

In the shallow water we teach in, our students can easily do 3 hours or more of lessons. During this time our teachers can be standing right by the students to provide them with assistance and to show how things are done (our teachers are not sitting in a boat shouting instructions at a student which is the case for deep water instruction). As a result most of our students are up and riding on the second day of the course. The combination of learning in shallow water and for keeping our group lessons very small for maximum quality ensures our students learn very quickly.

For maximum performance and safety we now use the latest "bow kites", you just let go of the bar and the kite loses all power.

Phuket is a beautiful island with great beaches. It is surrounded by some of the most scenic islands in the world, making it a great place to learn and practice the sport of kite surfing.

Our school is in Phuket: High season: December, January, February. Low season: June, July, August, September.

Chumphon coastal area is our latest discovery. Off the beaten track this is a beautiful unspoiled area on the east coast of Thailand  about 450km south of Bangkok. During both the North east monsoon (from November to mid January) and South west monsoon (June, July and August) this spot has some of the best wind conditions in South East Asia.

For nature lovers, people who want to get away from it all and for those who want to experience real Thai culture, this is the place.

Chumphon is now mentioned in the latest edition of the famous travel book "The Lonely Planet" as being a windsurfing and kitesurfing destination.

hua hin kite surfHua Hin /
SAM ROI YOT NATIONAL PARK.

About  200 kilometres south of Bangkok on the east coast lies the resort town of Hua Hin and near Hua Hin lies our latest discovery: the beautiful Sam Roi Yot national park.

At this national park we have found one of the most perfect places for learning kitesurfing/kiteboarding, at our spot there, nearby islands ensure the water is totally flat, these same islands cause the wind to accelerate as it passes between them making it a very windsure location, on top of this there is a huge area of shallow water (about 4 kilometers), where you can stand everywhere. All this is in a beautiful location with nearby islands and huge mountains in the background, a better kitesurfing/kiteboarding learning spot is hard to find. For day 3, (the boardriding stage), of our kitesurfing/kiteboarding course we give you the option of learning at Sam Roi Yot National Park or at Hua Hin beach. The choice is yours.

* For our kitesurfing/kiteboarding students we offer transportation from Hua Hin to the nearby Sam Roi Yot National Park free of charge.
